Successful start-up of CHP in Soviet Gavan

On September 9, 2020 CHP in Soviet Gavan has been successfully started-up.

New CHP with installed capacity of 126 MW and heat output of 200 Gcal/h was constructed instead of aged Mayskaya GRES that was commissioned in 1936.

Moreover, new power station would serve as a basis for further development of new industrial and logistic hub at the Soviet Gavan area and free port Vanino.

Also The newly constructed CHP meets the most up-to-date standard in environmental safety as installed electrostatic precipitator removes 99,5%of dust participles.

In addition start-up of Soviet Gavan CHP means that the project of construction of four new power station in the Far East region is now finalized.

Starting from November 2013 SSE Engineering was providing engineering services during bank supervision of the CHP construction project in Soviet Gavan following President of Russian Federation Decree “Regarding further development of RusHydro JSC” № 1564 from 22.11.2012 for the part related to construction of new power generation facilities at Far East Federal Region. Scope of SSE Engineering included audit of the Project with consequent justification of the audit report during public hearings and with respective federal executive authorities. After that SSE Engineering continued to monitor the progress of the Project and respective use of funds for the next 7 years.
